Diabetes, Hypertension & Cholesterol Care

Diabetes, hypertension and dyslipidemia management in Houston, TX. Lab work and follow-up in Spanish, with affordable pricing.

Managing diabetes, high blood pressure and cholesterol means chasing **three numbers, not one**. At Clínica Hispana Airline we run that follow-up with our own lab, walk-in, with everything explained in your language.

Walk-in clinic for the whole family

Clínica Hispana Airline is a walk-in clinic for the whole family, with Hispanic doctors in Houston who speak your language: a walk-in clinic on Tidwell Rd, open 7 days from 9 AM to 9 PM, Sundays included. Same-day, immediate medical care, no insurance required: general visits, vaccines and exams today, with or without health insurance. Call now and be seen today.

The three numbers and their targets

  • **A1C.** Reflects your average blood sugar over the past two to three months. Measured every 3 months if you are off target, every 6 if you are on it.
  • **Blood pressure.** Diabetes and hypertension together damage the kidney far faster than either alone. Checked at **every visit**, not once a year.
  • **Cholesterol.** A lipid panel at least once a year; LDL is the lever you can move the most.

What to screen yearly, and almost nobody does

  • **Feet:** sensation and wounds. An ulcer that starts painlessly, because the nerve no longer warns you, is how many amputations begin.
  • **Kidneys:** creatinine and urine protein. Kidneys fail quietly over years.
  • **Eyes:** retinal exam with an ophthalmologist. No early symptoms either.
  • **Heart:** an EKG depending on your age and risk factors.

The eye exam is with a specialist: we tell you when it is due and help direct the referral.

Prediabetes can still be reversed

Between 5.7% and 6.4% A1C there is real room: losing some weight, moving more and adjusting your diet can bring A1C back to normal. After that it is no longer reversed, it is managed. The difference between those two situations is one inexpensive test that almost nobody gets in time.

What follow-up looks like

Initial evaluation with lab work, a written plan, medication adjusted to your progress, and a review every 3 to 6 months, always compared against your previous results.
